Project Cindy, single speed cruiser build

Re:

Great bit of work Uve done on it.

I found it relaxing in a daft way doing my frame n forks before polishing up for the raw steel finish on the one I have.

Your polishing of steel was mental in the extreme..

Did you lacquer it or clear powder coat either way I’d be too scared to go out on wet day or to wash it with all that naked steel

Still Uber cool

After polishing up it was decals and few coats of Lacquer to seal it up.
It gets used as normal trails etc n the weather up here in Scotland is not the dryish type :)

coming along nice, some great looking work.

What stripper did you use, im thinking about stripping an aluminium frame i have now :)

Langlow strip away pro.
Supplied in 5 ltr minimum size. .. and you only need 500 ml max for a frame

I've also used it to strip multi layers of paint from interior wooden doors.
Does exactly what is says on the tin.

Re:

On original inspection id missed the body filler in the lower third of the down tube. Fortunately, the damage is cosmetic not structural..
After light sanding of the filler a series of small dents and pock marks revealed. I sanded the area back to bare metal and with a Couple of skims of P38 and all is good.
