I took this frame with me to York Rally last weekend.
I am fairly set that I want to keep the top of it bare steel and clear coat it. The general consensus was that I should keep the rest of it as it is and clear coat over the whole frame. I've done a quick degrease this morning:
Next is to remove the small remaining bits of rattlecan paint, then clean up the steel.
I've ordered the clear coat, but now having doubts about whether I want to keep the painted parts as they are or go back to the plan of repainting the bottom half.
Any opinions? And if I keep it as it is, should I leave the reaining paint on the seat stay bridge to keep it better protected or remove the paint to further down the seat stays (original plan) to level out the horizontal paint line more.
