Hey All,
New here and happy to share my new Score. Found on Craigslist, was in my size and I recently had a hardtail mtb stolen so I thought, meh, titanium seems like an upgrade and maybe I can talk the guy down on price. The seller was the original owner and couldn't be more happy to sell to someone who had actual intentions to ride! Long story short: $400 later and I'm home with my new bike, learning that I just lucked into one of the most durable, unique titanium hardtails out there
Not many, if any, original parts. But this bike looks like it's going to rip! All I had to replace was the cranks and chainring, and I already had the raceface cranks! Chainring on order and, though it may go without saying, I can't wait to take it out on some Southern California trails...
PS only original decal is the seat tube decaland there are signs of real-world experience (ie scratches) on the downtube.View attachment 1018068View attachment 1018069View attachment 1018066View attachment 1018071View attachment 1018071
Wind up the hype klaxon, it's not everyday we see a new Score! Congratulations on acquiring possibly the finest titanium model Kona ever released. It's made me reconsider - again - if I need to get a 18" one in my life
Also congrats on the ridiculous low price. With the money saved, you can all out on the spec
This is the 17th Score on record, and the 7th 17" version:
KS17086 - Original head-tube and seat-tube decals, 2000/1 down-tube decals, all other decals missing.
