'81 Claud Butler Colstar Yumeya/DuraAce #035210 FINISHED p16

Re: Frame ID

Ah that’s great, really helped. My frame has no point on the front of the head tube lugs and cable guides on both sides of the bottom bracket. I’ll post a couple of photos.

I must say this rides the best of my bikes. It’s been geared, fixed and now single speed over it’s long life and I’m thinking of putting it back to a five or six speed (close ratio). Live in the fens so not really any hills - just extra resistance when it’s windy which is most of the time!! Many thanks for the advice.

Great news, start yourself your own thread on Readers Bikes & post the frame number as well so we can add it to the log on the Nkilgariff history site.

Re: Frame ID

Here’s the bottom bracket guides, on both sides. So could be Colstar. I can see what you mean about the look of the seat tubes. Much nicer to see them feed round toward the top of the top tube.

Have I missed the final full on shiny bling build picture of your Colstar Mr P?

I've had to refill the popcorn a few times now waiting for the grand reveal and its not doing my waist line any good.

Erm... no, it’s not finished yet, I found some white Yumeya gear outer in Portugal which is due soon, as soon as that arrives we’re in business...

But to wet your appetite, here some shots of a beautifully aero shaped DuraAce / ax set of drops... I’ve got bespoke white repro end caps to go on these as well

Nice.

And as long as you're keeping up the work, don't want you slacking now, your audience expects a certain standard.

It’s a shame to cover them up.

Certainly is... I was hoping to find some white leather Brooks, but it seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet... :|
