Itching to crack on...waiting on a BB and a rear hub........... :(

Change of direction...it's gonna be mostly 1990 105 from now on........ with a smattering of other makes filling in the gaps in the group set...
The only Campagnolo will be the dropouts! ;)

Re: 1981 Claud Butler Colstar #035210

Been away from the build for a little while, family bereavement....stuff to do.. :|

Anyway… whilst away, I was wondering about the brake situation and how I was going to get something better than the old Weinmanns working on a 700 clincher.
I was sure the Colstar had aluminium clinchers on before I stored her away some time ago..
Looking back through old photos I realised she’d been wearing a pair of Wolber Super Champion Competition Gentleman 81, 27” clinchers!

& I knew exactly where they were stashed… Hurrah… :D now for some elbow grease…s-l1600 (3).jpgIMG_5586.jpg

Sorry to hear that. :(

Lots of elbow grease required on those Wolbers.

Cheers H, life goes on. Feels strange saving up our grief for when the family meets up “sometime” in the future...

That’s enough buffing for one day... time to build the wheels up...

Those wheels are coming up lovely. Do you polish them by hand or with a bit of mechanical/electrical assistance?
