Replacing seat stay mounted U-brake with canti's/v's

there are tons of people still making U brake for BMX, which will fit any u brake MTB .

I run onza porc 2's on the bike with the seat stay mounted u brake, and its a a tyre with quite a high profile i think. The clogging problem was more for the chain stay mounted brakes I always thought, Its mud that collects around the blocks on my u brake which causes the problem for rim wear. I have never had it clog or stop the wheel turning

If your tyre is so covered in mud that it is clogging a rear mounted brake then traction is gonna be your biggest problem.

this is what i have

which is a bargain price i think,

and you can even get boosters for them to make them look a bit more retro too
