Someone once tried not wearing a lid on a NW area event, he was made to ride a Raleigh Activator 2 and laughed at.

I dont wear a lid and would happily ride an activator.

Not half as sad as seeing one of our old local riding buddies being pushed down the street by his wife who has to change his nappies 4 times a day, lift him in and out of the bath, pay the bills, bring up two kids etc.because he was too cool to wear a helmet.
A whole family's live's ruined by one very selfish (but cool) bastard.

It could be you guys next. Hope you all have someone to look after you when it does.

Yes, unfortunate, obviously, but a million other riders ride a gazzillion miles without ever wearing a helmet and come to no harm.

Its always personal choice as ever in every single thread that brings this subject up. Nothing to do with 'cool'.
