Someone once tried not wearing a lid on a NW area event, he was made to ride a Raleigh Activator 2 and laughed at.

I dont wear a lid and would happily ride an activator.
 
Yes but with your hair in a bun you dont need a lid.....

Yes, unfortunate, obviously, but a million other riders ride a gazzillion miles without ever wearing a helmet and come to no harm.

Its always personal choice as ever in every single thread that brings this subject up. Nothing to do with 'cool'.
