I have been looking for one of these for seems like ages, such a classic alloy frame and the colour is gorgeous!

I have all the parts I need to build this up, I had actually advertised the Bomber forks for sale but withdrew them once I’d agreed to buy the frame!
This came from @ExpertBlay who is someone I’ve dealt with before and can’t recommend enough. Arrived perfectly packaged and is a nice used frameset as was described - thanks again Charlie!
Made a start over the last couple of days, cleaned and polished the frame before building up, so far:

1998 Bombers in polished flavour, Fred Salmon stem, XT brifters, XT front mech, XTR rear mech, XT wheelset.
I’m going for simple polished components which I think will make the frame pop. I have a really nice s-works crankset to go on here, just needs a polish and then cassette/chain/cables/grips away we go. Hopefully I’ll get somewhere near finished tomorrow.. 🤞

Not as much progress as I’d hoped today - I always forget how long sanding/polishing takes! Still, had a couple of enjoyable hours outside in the sun getting the cranks looking presentable:

I’ve had these s-works cranks for a fair while waiting to be used and they’ve come up nicely. Lack of a 73mm bb has meant I’ll have to wait to fit them up but I can cable up, fit brakes etc until it’s all ready to go together - next weekend I’ll be riding it I reckon.. 🤞

Typically, after ordering a new un300 bottom bracket I was looking for a bottom bracket for a different bike and found this:

Had no idea I had one, correct size for the bike and in good condition..
So all that was left to do was assemble, cleaning and servicing bits as I went.
Finished:

Just need to take it for a ride and check everything is working ok but should be all
good.
