Ok, here we go then...

I'm sure some ppl would argue I should've used a TIG for a proper job, but all I got is a no gas MIG so it ain't gonna be pretty. Anyway, first we need to make a groove for the weld to go in and cut away the rust in the same process.

Next thing I had to figure out how to join the chain stay to the seat stay and make them stay joined properly through the welding. Figured a simple cargo belt should be up for the job... and it did.

Ok, now it's ready to put the weld in and as I said it will not be pretty ;)

Finally a layer of paint and I guess it's ready for a test ride.

Thanks THM! The pics only show the outer side but it's actually been welded on both sides, outer and inner... so should be pretty safe. At least I hope it should.
