Sure, as i said as soon as i heve a chance to wash the crap and my greasy finger prints off, i will get some decent outdoor, hopefully clear pictures.....you know taken in an industrial wasteland espousing the dichotomy of change in the urban landscape dialogue, against the ever present threat that is an old duffer on a marin!

Not to troll the thread but I have a similar bike that was £25 from a car boot
It's a huge frame but fits spot on with my T-Rex shaped body
Sadly, it's SR MT bars have gone to the Ross not Ross and its sat there barless and sulking

Well it is now finished....after a bit of faffing about with bars.
Original i set it up with a quill stem, but found as always this seriously limits your choice when it comes to risers as most will not go through the loop.
I finally found a pair of bars and a stem, but after a lot of riding, i ended up o er the quills limit and actually wanting more!
So I bit the bullet and went down the quill conversion route....firstly i set it up with whatever i had to hand to get a feel for it then ordered the correct stem in terms of degrees and length...
Here's round one with the quill, round 2 with the silver bars and any old rise stem i could find and the final solution....
I looked at several quill converters, but decided on an Art steel one.....the aluminium ones were lighter, but none had the same length or feeling of robustness.
Amazingly even with it being steel this set up is still 30g lighter than the steel quill stem!

So here it is, lights, reflectors and bell still need to go back on, but in still fine tuning the rotation of the bars slightly.
Ive also gone for some old ergon gp4 grips, not my favourite as i prefer separate onza 120 ends, but i need to find an uncut pair of these bars affording me the extra 40mm needed. Im sure they or something very similar will come up! Especially as im not not trapped with limited number of bars that will go through a quills loop!
It may not be exactly an award winning beauty, but by god it comfortable, will handle pretty much anything and is to my mind a quality bit of long term kit...ive already put more miles in it in 4 months than any of the other bikes last year.

Very comfortable. Grip tops are just over 2" higher than the saddle to give you a idea....that's a very good balance between hands and butt weight distribution.
The other thing that i had forgotten after years of head down riding, was how much you DONT see! Suddenly there's a far reaching world and horizon,.....and not at the cost of neck ache the next day.

I can see why you’re looking for an xxxxl frame. Other than the adapter, nice job. There are some very long quill stems available that would suit. But I’d hang on for a giant. I had one or two. But all low rent. Bear valley se etc.
Its the hight i ran out of, i got the longest i could find, sadly the really long ones like tje nitto are all really sort reach...i tried one several pages back

That is a 120mm reach x 35o on there now. Plus, tbh, faffing with the bars, trying to find loop compatible stuff has put me off as every time I thought i found something useful, it wouldn't work.
I totally agree its not a perfect look, but i did say "bike i need" ......
Its also been a good project as it swept up loads of stuff from the shed!
