Serotta MTB Identification - Real or Fake? 1995? 1998?

The cable guide in mid chainstay tells the meaning of "high end steel frame". I could live w/ one of those Serottas.
The frame is pretty nice. Even with the headset installed, the weight is really not bad. Not light like my Rossin Super Record or Paramount but the weight is definitely down there and noticeable.

I believe the paint is not original. This assumption is due to a masking defect on the bottom tube where the yellow meets the red. Maybe an error maybe not. The drive side chain stay looks like there is filler under the paint. Or this is really thick primer here. The Serotta lettering is smooth to the paint though. 051AE42B-163F-4794-8636-A3A15921A400.jpeg 9BC19705-3539-480E-9D68-04B2C4F0EC1E.jpeg 7E66EADB-3BB6-46BA-9A1E-A878BD236182.jpeg

Also here are the factory options from 1992. I believe this bike came equipped with XT-Plus due to all the Mavic parts + Syncros stem. But who knows! Maybe I am worrying about details that frankly don't matter. One of the wheels still has the original Specialized tire, as indicated as a standard build protocol in the right most box of the spread sheet. Perhaps I'll have to build Groupo Misto/Bchicks Ultralight. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 09.29.08.png
