Peugeot ID help. 753?

I agree I lusted after the blue and yellow 708 framed bikes in the early 90s. 1991/2 from memory. So do we think wrong Reynolds transfer? Edit there was another blue and yellow paintjob from memory decalled as a Professional, and wrong parts I think on this. op's frame is possibly a 531 Altus or 653 Athena? Pic of the 753 Chorus is from the 1990 catalogue at classic light weights, which shows the 653 Athena too.

I reckon its just a slightly older frame, my own 753 Pug was around '87/88 ( Perthus) but then my Arthena would have looked identical with no paint

My 1979 PX10 had reynolds on the tubing (very faint) when it was stripped naked

just rambling and thinking about bikes I shouldnt have sold and have lasted longer than the kitchen they paid for

Interesting. If it's 753 the tubing should be thinner walled than 531? Maybe I'll dig out my Vernier calipers and see what I get.
The repaint from Bob Jacksons doesn't help the identification, incidentally what does the "753 Renovated" decal mean?
 
Reynolds didn't supply their original decals without the corresponding tubeset, for obvious reasons. For resprays you could get these.

So, to me it means the frame was resprayed by a professional.
 
Did this build for a friend 5 years ago, looks similar? I will have to look back over photos to see if I took note of serial number.
