Period or modern build for 80s Gazelle?

I have a bit of a thing for 105 kit due to its more affordable, utilitarian nature for still decent quality. How I think bikes should be. When 105 goes hydro disc I will shift my affections to Tiagra... She sounds nicer anyway.
I have a big soft spot for RX100 stuff for the exact same reasons - plus I think the polished silver finish is nicer than the equivalent 105 parts

Well spent 2 hours sanding and polishing the used 1055 champagne crankset and found crack all the way through the taper end. Bummer, but better to find it I guess. And given the rest of the group is a bit tatty, makes me inclined to save the NOS 1055 hubs for a different occasion, or return them, and go modern with this one.

So it's looking like a mix

- 1055 Aero levers
- Stronglight cranks
- 105 5800 hubs
- Dia-compe bar end shifters
