Klein Adept 1993 Candy teal, finished.

Re:

Cleaned up and polished this afternoon. Internal gear cable guides removed and re-fitted correctly with one being replaced as cracked, rear brake cable one will also be replaced as too short to reach the neat guide on the side of the seat tube.

Rear wheel has been centred and returned to me, many thanks Ant, so nearly ready to throw some parts on.

Re:

I did wonder, not according to the Klein tech sheet. I've offered up an XTR crank and it is close, will be closer when tight so I haven't ruled out a re-visit!! It also means if 3mm in like the spec for an Att or Adroit that the mating area between the axle and inner bearing race will be greater therefore more secure although I'm confident it won't fall out as it is, it is Loctited in of course.

Re:

Crank was right up on the bearing and bolt still had a bit to go so out it all came again and back in after a clean up and fresh Loctite this time with use of the 3mm recess tool.

New brake inner guide fitted too so still made a little progress this eve.

I hate it when this happens. Had to fit a different axle 3 times for a Kooka crank until it was right once.

Manual didn't give the right measurement!

Re:

Yeah, I'm not sure the Topline one is right either, being too short.

Few parts fitted last couple of evenings, taking shape, now the wheels are on the geometry looks pretty nuts! Some poor grainy night pics.

Re:

No pics this time but some progress last night. Both cranks on, pads and gears positioned, one STI cleaned and loosely fitted. Might get half hour or so on it tonight, keen to get finished and on to the next build as I'm on abit of a roll this last month what with the Gator Rascal done and a Raleigh Burner earlier.
