World Cup 2010 thread

Even fabio agrees that the ball is shocking.....:0)

the Germans have mastered it because they have been using it all season in the bundesleage (sp)....... We were given that option but. The fa turned them down.....

Barry installed into the team offers a different dynamic to Lampard/gerrard....who lets face it have played well together twice in 11 attempts. One stays and one goes is a much simpler formula and history shows it works. The Italian wax's lyrical about playing form players and then picks Green  , now he's stuck cause if Hart drops one early even without conceeding a goal everyones mind will be thinking about decisions rather than the match at hand. Neither Philipps nor Lennon are much good at actually sitting-up a football (never have been.. truth be told), though Johnson is a master of the art and two-footed.....couple that with both Heskey and Crouch in the squad (both excellent headers of a football) then Copella's reasoning in not taking him is to my mind a touch ifffy. Barry will make a big difference , his style is almost unseen, he offers himself to teamates in any sort of trouble regardless of being man-marked (kicked-kidded-pulled-scratched himself)....he's a gaffer, happy to let the scouser take the limelight.

!órale tipo

I love that they beat France; wish i could've seen it.

I did get to watch Agentina this morning. Their offense is beautiful to watch; I though South Korea would've given them more trouble than they did. It should've been 4-0, if it were not for Argentina's weak link in their backfield- just awful.

Argentina would've been one to the next round had it not been for Nigeria getting red carded; arghhhhhh

wow...can't believe Germany lost, and in that manner :o

My US team sent me on an emotional rollercoaster....why must we always go down early.

That bald headed ref (Mali?) needs to be banned from further reffing. He called a mysterious handball on the US team, issuing a yellow card- our player will miss the next game, then he missed our guy getting bear hugged late in the match, while calling a phantom offsides, nullifying our go ahead third goal...that ref could barely keep his eyes open while blowing his nose the whole match...what an asshole, horrible ref :x  :x  :x

well, now we need Algeria to get a tie or win, then we need a win against them next week. Otherwise, it does not look good for the US...once again. i don't remember the last time we held a team scoreless in the first half, yet we do it often in the second half :?
