I am fortunate enough to be the new owner of a set of look fournales after purchasing from here. I've always wanted a set since I first saw a set on a build thread, and probably a decade later I now have some, as they arrived today.
The plan was to fit them to my GT Team RTS, as I think they will look great on it alongside the spin wheels, avid black ops brakes.
Has anyone done this on an RTS as I'm keen to see what they look like before replacing the nos 32mm Sid world cups I built for it.
While I have it in the stand, I'm wondering if I should make a couple of other mods. It's got m952 gearing and cranks, my fave retro groupset, but wondering if with the carbon forks, some m970 xtr mike look good (it was once built that way), or some X0, for added carbon. Thoughts?
I've also got a new risse genesis shock for it, I'd prefer one with adjustable damping, just because really, but not having seen one come up for sale that 8 can afford, can't do that. I have a used one for a different frame, and have contemplated a transplant, but not wanting to ruin the new one trying, unless someone can advise it's easy and reversible. Used one has heavily scored shaft so needs bushings at minimum. Thoughts on this too?
Lastly, anyone have info on servicing the fournales, may as well tear it down before fitting.
Thanks
