As much as it pains me I've got the whole package through Sky. Line rental, fast bb, free e+w calls and telly with 3 options comes in around £38 pm. Blagged most of the gear and set up for free. Conection is very good and when I've had to ring them they've not made me want to smash my own face in with a hammer.

Best internet I've ever had was cable (Telewest, now Virgin) but can't get it where I live now.

Been told Talk Talk (not BT) own the telephone exchange near me so the best conection would be with them. Might be worth finding out who owns yours?

As for Free View/Sat. All reviews point towards Humax and that's what I've recommended to my Mum.

My TalkTalk bill is (give or take) £25.month..

That includes line rental.. up to 24meg bb (we get 10-12) and an 80gb download boost (from 40gb - blew that outta the water 2 months running).. free evening and weekend calls too.

It's an extra £4.99/month to add 40gb (our bb package comes with 40 and we boosted it to 80)..

For another fiver/month you can add free anytime calls (we had to cut that when we had to up the download limit )

If I cut the download boost it would come to £19.28/month

And they're doing a half price for x months at the mo too.... for new customers.

Like I said earlier.. other folk have had major problems with them but, aside from when we moved house, it's been pretty good for us..

Humax make Freeview/sat boxes and are considered the best from the research I've done. If going for Freesat my sources say go the BBC route instead of Sky.
