When I bought my blue Mini, £200?, and my brother bought a Morris 1000 as our first cars our Dad told us "Now you'll start spending money"

Very true... although I have great memories of restoring it with my Dad.

I can remember working on that Mini, changing it from Hydrolastic suspension to the dry Moulton rubber cones. Got all the bits I needed, rubber cones and alloy trumpets F&R, and a dry rear subframe off a Mini that had been dumped in an old quarry. My first venture into making my cars go round corners better, go faster.
