Surrey Hills, maybe sometime this year?

Re: Surrey Hills, Bank Holiday weekend

All being well, I will be there. Weather looks dubious - the last one I was on was a wash-out so hope it's better than that.

Will the fitness-challenged amongst us (me) be able to bail early?

Was that the ride which started from the Radnor Road car park? It absolutely chucked it down, the ground turned to grinding paste. Still fun though!

That's the one. I destroyed numerous parts on the bike. Lovely.

Oh, that's not the car park I was thinking of then.
Weather was gross, but at least we weren't doing the 100mile road ride that was going on in the same area.

And no, I'm not Max. Got this cycle app on my phone that works ok. Sometimes
A bit like me!

Re: Surrey Hills, Bank Holiday weekend

Do you have a rough idea of the route? Heading back by road might be an option. I really want to come along but 25 miles off road will be on the limit.

Re: Surrey Hills, Bank Holiday weekend

Sounds like a good little route. Wish I could be there but I'm off camping with two young children. Sadly

@sthodgeson - the climbs up to Ranmoor will be steep but relatively short. The rest will be no problem. Just be glad you're not ascending from the south side of the hills (Cranleigh, Ewhurst etc) - unless the Woodsman fancies a sadistic lung burster on the off road route parallel to Barhatch lane

Have fun gents!

Re: Surrey Hills, Bank Holiday weekend

"Ride regularly" is quite difficult with a 6 month nipper, but I will give it a go. I know the roads enough to get back to the car park if I bust a gut, and might miss out Peaslake and head back to the car. Keen to try some new routes on an old bike.

Really looking forward to riding the Surrey Hills again! 8)

Been too long!
