Stolen Zaskar

Properly bad news, especially having seen the care with which it was restored.

Hopefully having the Retrobike sniffer dogs on the case will help to track it down.

Don't suppose you know the frame number do you?

How've the Police reacted? As it was a burglery, they should send someone round to check for prints etc. If they haven't, push until they do.

SOCO attending a break in - yeah right!!!!

Go and check the bushes and fields around your area, alot of theives would of only taken it to get out of the immediate area, so go and have a drive around, you may find it 1/4 mile away

Are all the GT ZASKAR decals still on the bike?? the thing is i cant see anyone selling it as a GT ZASKAR as that would make it too easy to spot on ebay, its going to be under something like......... mountain bike, i have just scrolled through 3,218 bikes!!!! not there yet.

Thanks so much everyone - your support and encouragement is really appreciated and shows how the retrobike community comes up trumps in times of need.

To answer the questions
Zaskar did have pretty much a full set of original decals although not in great condition.

And yes -police did attend - a neighbour spotted the open door left after the thieves made their exit with Adam's stuff. Fortunately police were not far away -it's that sort of area!

Will update if there is any news.

Carol
