The bolt that holds my saddle in position has come a little loose, and I can't tighten or loosen it... therefore it's prone to slipping forward and backward or even changing angle... :lol:

I've tried the old allen key stamping and hammer tapping and WD40 and I think it's just stuck fast.... am I going to have to buy a new saddle and seat post? :(

Any suggestions on what would look nice/faithful to a c1990 Orange Clockwork...? :?

Retro saddle choices:
selle italia turbo;
San marco rolls;
Sells italia flite.

Non retro saddles:
Wtb rocket
Sdg bel air
Selle xo, s1 or xmp.

as far as seatposts go, for me it'd be a choice between syncros, USE or something a little unusual such as Kingsberry or American classic.

Ps if it's a single bolt post you could try and drill the bolt head off.

Thank you Mr Yacht,

Saddle is pretty-much ruined anyway so think I should treat myself to one of those very exotic sounding things..

selle italia turbo - mamma mia!

Everyone else seems to go for the Syncros post so might dabble with a less common number... Kingsberry you say... I like the sound of that.

It is a single bolt, so I might try to drill it out, but I'd only do that once I had the replacement, and then it seems a bit pointless as I'll want to use the new shiny bits...

I'll have a trawl round here and if I'm joyless then an eBaying we shall go...

Cheers again
JP

PS are all seat posts the same diameter... surely not? Anyone know how big 91ish Clockworks are?
