Covering the bases

My favourite period for retro mtb is 95-97 or the Judy era. Sure I like and own earlier and later bikes but this period is where my main interests lie. I think it coincides with me getting my first job and being able to afford stuff at last!
Anyway I decided to get some bikes together that cover the mainstream options available at the time. I'm pretty much there with these 5 I think 🤔
Pretty much the same but completely different, mostly period, there's a bit of duplication here and there but I tried to keep things different. 👍 😁

This is the period that mtbs started working!😃

Brakes that worked!
(I'm ignoring your magura weakness😉)
Suspension that worked.
Geometry that could take you almost anywhere.
Comfy saddles.
A range of easily accessed gears.
Reliable, light weight, brilliant👍

Nice collection. I had a love/hate relationship with my Santa Cruz Heckler. It was a sold bike that was very capable but always had a few problems. I would get everything dialed in and then I would have 2 or 3 problems that needed fixed. I sold it on a few years ago. I still enjoy looking at them. Your titanium Bontrager is a really good looking bike too.
