RC31 V-brake mount probs

anyone had problems fitting their V-brakes to the mounts supplied by Pace to go on RC31s?

Mounts fit on legs no worries, but the cantis will not push far enough onto the mount for the small peg to engage the hole in the mount.

Am running some of the earliest XT-Vs (mid-90s) - does anyone know if the mounting size/canti design has changed? Anyone had the same problem?

I've got some of the same forks and mounts and have early XT v's and they seem to fit fine so not sure what to suggest - perhaps if it is a very small difference/tight fit you could try to enlarge the holes on the mounts VERY slightly?

Likewise, I've had early XT vees on an RC31 without any problem. The mounting standard hasn't changed.

Fiddling with them, the holes on the mounts (tiny ones) are fine, it is actually pushing the caliper onto the mount that is the problem.

Humpf, and Pace are soooooooo quick to get back to you as well...not! Shall have to wait to hear what they say.

OK, more fool me to expect the mounts to come properly assembled. My psychic skills failed me and I missed the fact that the canti-bolt threads weren't wound fully into the chassis.

Sorted now and fit fine!
