Project P7! Loft find! Completed!!!!

Re: Project P7! Loft find! Nearly there!

Looks as sharp as the one in the catalogue! I do same with cassettes. Always go for biggest. Looking at same for a Clocky 7 speed. All my bikes get ridden & it's always uphill to get home.

Re:

Made some progress last few days and thoroughly degreased, polished and regressed the drivetrain!

Spotless!!!!

Just got brakes and cables and few finishing bits to fit and we’ll be all done.... :D

Will get some proper pics in the sun (I hope) for its final picture parade...!

Re:

Very nice indeed. It’s good to watch another P7 rebuild: I’m not too far behind with my ‘94/‘95 model.. polishing my way through the group set currently. I stripped the dead laquer off with a blunt blade and even a fingernail... had been raced then stripped to a frame and sat for years near a window I reckon.. decals faded to cream on one side, bright orange the other haha. First Orange I’ve been involved with, so far been delighted with its build quality and details.

Re:

On the home stretch!

Cabling up, chain, front pads and a setup only to finish!!!!

Oh and pedals before anyone asks :D

I know this thread is pic intensive but a picture speaks a thousand words and u gotta love that shine

Re: Project P7! Loft find! Nearly there!

Looks fantastic! Loving the amberwalls too. Looks like your sidewalls have survived better than mine for sure.

Cif! Formerly known as Jif!

Scrubbed in with a stiff brush... that’s what sorted the amberwalls !

Nah mine were as new on the tread but the Amber section had dried and crumbled to expose the cords. Waste! Would love some new amber wall knobblies but they seem to be rare now
