yeah, bit of minor surgery like taking the entire frame to pieces and starting again... hopefully by the time Dan's finished with it we should have something rather nice!

Re: pace rc 200 f?

Hi guys, I have just joined "Retro bike". I have owned my pace for many years now, ( though not from new..) and would like to add it to your list of serial numbers, it's an odd serial number and after a bit of research and even after having my forks serviced at pace and talking to Adrian I (as well as he) am still not really quite sure exactly what it is...it's either an Rc 200 f1 or an Rc200 f2 I think... but Adrian says it may be a one off or a stage in between the two maybe. I'm hoping someone else here my know a bit more as I would love to find out more about it.... Here's hoping....anyway my serial number is....RC0GARY....and my frame and components are almost exactly as I found them when I bout it second hand from a bike shop in wales about 15 or 18 years ago I forget the exact date. I have changed the bar ends and added some saddle bags lights ect but I have altered nothing else and it even still has the same tyres on it as it did when I bought it!! It's a (very slightly faded) red anodized frame with matching red anodised hubs bars and chainring its a lovely bike and I adore it and would appreciate any info or knowledge anyone may have about it...Thanks guys...(I also am trying to upload some photos of it but need to edit them down to the allowed size, I'm not great with technology but I hope to have some on soon)

Re:

Thanks for the link, I suppose mine could be one of those.. I dont know very much about what Im looking for really to make an identification, but mine all seems to be original stickers wize as far as I can tell. I had never seen another one that said RC-Series on it, and Adrian from pace told me that he had a short lived dispute (which he won in the end) with a German company over putting Rc200 on the frame, I guess they thought they had the copyright for that name on whatever it was they where selling, so Pace just put RC-Series on till it was sorted. Mine seems to have single step milling on all the tubes and a beautifully fitted and I assume original square seat clamp, that matches the square top of the seat tube exactly to the millimetre....
