Kona Titanium Serial Number List - update 04/10/25

Amazing that we have two 99's in a week, including the newest last KK ever made on file.

KH18072 - Red Painted Headtube, all original 1999 decals. Missing right rear V-brake post.

KK18074 - Unpainted Headtube, Orange Go Faster Decals.

I'll do some digging on the Made In Taiwan decal...that can't be right...🤔
May be there to naively mislead thieves?!

Ive seen a 99 catalogue spec Hei Hei with painted headtube and a "Made in Taiwan" sticker (however the BB is stamped made in USA)

I think they were assembled in Taiwan with RaceFace (Canadian) running gear and also came with a X-Lite (UK) Seatpost clamp in the 99 Catalogue

Odd aswell because the KH18 (072) suggests its more likely to be a 98 frame that was painted at a later date

I’m assuming stickers relevant to the UK market were added on import to the UK. This would certainly be the ‘BS’ sticker (presumably not used in e.g. North America) and I wonder whether as 95% of the Kona’s would have indeed have been Taiwan-made, this was stuck in ‘automatically’ at the same time? Or do US bikes have the same rules on origin stickers.
I’ve never been involved in importing bike, so what do I know!!

New addition thanks to @90sKonaHeiHei who posted it in the valuation sub-forum. It's one of the very last 1994 HHs.

B19802 - Bullet, Short Seat Tube Extension, original 1994 decals; confirmation of ’95 Geometry.

An exciting addition to the Kona custom serial number lists: titanium P2 forks!

Big thanks to @sovereign for sharing this idea, and also thanks for this patience as I finally found sometime today to add them to this thread.

This means we need to add some factual narrative about their production run. When did they start? When did they end? Their specifications and if they changed throughout the production years, or did they stay the same? What are the technical tubing and construction details?

I'll trawl through the archives but please share the facts and details you have 👍

And of course, if you have a pair, please share the SN with the usual pictures and stories and I'll add them. Sovereign has started in style given he has not 1, not 2, but 3 pairs. Wow!
