ah, memories...I've done that before, but have tucked and rolled...somehow avoiding injury

Faaaaake !

How do you want 40cm of a branch of that diameter to penetrate in that part of the leg ? There's two bones there, plus there's no blood on the part of the branch that is supposed to have pass through the guy's flesh.
I can't imagine someone with an injury like that bearing any sort of smile and making victory signs.
I'm pretty sure those pictures have been taken during the footage of a movie.

Hmmm, I don't know the origins of the photos, but I'm not so fast to agree with it being fake.
First, there is blood on the part of the stick that passed through the leg. Secondly, (I would have to brush up on my freshman year human biology course), it appears the stick passed inbetween the Tibia and Fibula, pushing out the smaller of the two in a compound fracture; see the elevated skin. Finally, narcotics make a person smile, eve when they should be in excruciating pain.

So, basically...it could be real
