Modern Campagnolo 11s

Can see your point - a tad too much silver. I've got lovely adonised purple main triangle to distract the eye - hopefully it will look the part once done.

Royce is on list 'B' at the moment based on cost alone, but I can't say list 'A' is any cheaper if i'm honest as it only has one thing on it - Record Titanium. Need some thinking time, oh, and some money

Hello

I just finished my Corsa Extra with the silver Athena 11s. Also went for silver H Plus Son rims, silver Novatech hubs, and Silver Sapin Laser spokes. So loads of silver! But I just couldn't go with black.

Liking what you have done there Larusso, nice bike indeed! The more 'retro' bikes I see with this new silver Campagnolo equipment the more I like it - somehow it seems to suit many of the older frames without detracting from the frame itself.

I've got mine mocked up so to speak and am pleased thus far with the exception of the BB cups - they look a bit out of place given the colour. Not much I can do though as they only come in one colour!

I've put some old wheels on to get an idea and it seems that all silver wheels (hubs/rims) is going to be too much given the amount of silver on the frame, so I'm contemplating silver hubs and dark rims.

Black TB14 with gumwall tyres are a good look...

Easily the most retro looking modern rim on the market, nice shallow profile reminiscent of the older Mavic offerings. These are on my list as the few pairs of NOS rims i've seen from the 90's are daft money. Add the hubs and the wheelbuild in and it's edging towards an 'official' pair of shop bought wheels.

As much as i'm a fan of gumwall, I fear they would look out of place given the purple anodised tubing so it'll be standard pure black tyres - will also tie in with the black saddle, bar tape & cables.

Roll on payday so I can get buying :D
