Any additional money into government would just get swallowed up with out explanation.
Thats just how it is, I seriously doubt any government minister has any real idea of what goes where, they're just numbers at that level.

Wow, that's a bleak view. As somebody who has had life-saving cancer treatment on the NHS, I'm glad they do collect.

You only have to look at Greece to see what happens (in the long term) when a society decides that paying tax is for somebody else...

No one on this thread has suggested that anyone doesn't pay tax, or condones evasion in any form (legal or otherwise).

It's not a bleak view it mearly offers an explanation as to why more people paying more tax wouldn't mean a tax cut for the rest of us.

This is what happens in an economy downturn :?
Normally small infractions would result in a stern word,but now its a fine.No if's or but's just give us some money.

This is them just exploring all options for making money :?
