Barracuda (UK) Frame/Serial Numbers

Unintentionally I seem to be turning this into Sam's BSO thread. Here's another. Quick snap outside Aldi and there's this lovely machine. I guess its in pretty good shape for a 23 year old cheap bike. Absolutely nothing noteworthy about this bike except for recording the frame number.

Good work on Barracuda for producing such a simple and easy to understand numbering scheme, runs from 1996 to 2003 (so far).

Thanks @$mokie - Yours is a Year 2000 model. It does look similar to bikes by Saracen, Raleigh and others but the frame number indicates that it is a Barracuda and I haven't seen any similar frames by other manufacturers with a Barracuda frame number.

Thanks @Salona96 your bike is an excellent example of what I'm looking for. The frame number is March 1996, and like other early Barracuda bikes it has an 'F' number - possibly Fairly built. This is the same factory that produced Alpinestars, Coyote and Rudy Project bikes. It looks pretty original to me, and the aluminium looks in good shape. Component spec with the LX mechs is also promising - better spec than a new Barracuda would be. I'd be interested to see who made that fork if you get the chance to check the dropouts or the steerer tube.
