Just been to halfords to buy a cassette lockring tool. I asked them if they would loosen it to save me doing it later.
After this i proceed to look at the helmets etc and let them carry on with it.
To my horror when i returned to the servicing desk he had mounted the lockring tool in a vice and proceeded to turn the wheel in the wrong direction (massively overtightening).
Of course i let him know hes doing it wrong and needs a chain whip.
At this point he had to get the manager to sort it out because it was done up too tight.
20 minutes later the lockring is off looking quite mangled (not happy).
In fairness they didnt charge me for the removal, but if its anything to go by I'm not taking my bike for a full service there.
