@boy"O"boy what's the story behind the Scalextric collection?
Been an avid collector of Scalextric Cars for nearly as long as I've been into Retrobikes!
All the newer stuff mind....the quality and detail is much better. I have duplicates of certain models that me and the kids use, but these are all complete sets of Escort MK1's, BMW E30 M3's, Group B rally cars, Sierra Cosworths and Lancia Stratos in all the released liveries. All New boxed condition.
There's a few Carrera slots in there too. Suppose that's another insight into my psyche, collecting complete sets of things. There's a complete set of MBUK'S and MBI'S from '88 to '94 stashed in the 'display cave' too.

Haven’t opened either of these in over 20 years most likely;

And this is the only other slot(?) car I have, bought, well because it closely matches my full size one;

When I was working car insurance out and trying a few configurations I found out, for where I live, it was cheaper insurance to keep it on the drive than in the garage.
I guess because more cars are damaged in garages than drives.

It also leaves more room for everything else :)
