I'd say an RX7 too if it wasn't for the fact that you'll need a second mortgage if the engine ever dies......or maybe that should be 'when' the engine dies 'cos they don't last too well.

Fantastic cars otherwise though. 8)

Im with you on the RX7s - they look beautiful and they go like stink.

The engine is the biggest problem as you know as they dont last well unless looked after and an engine rebuild is inevitable. Thor tuning near me hate them due to this issue - whereas teh Supra engine is as hard as nails and can deal with anything you throw at it...

Shame really as the RX7s are a bargain.

Mate had a 22B. I'm not sure what they go for these days, but hell that was a monster of a car. It looked stunning in blue with gun metal Speedlines (I think they were?).

Certainly didn't look like a family run about either.

I can't find a photo of the one he had.......this one doesn't really do them justice.

Ah yeh - they are nice - 2 door - look more coupe like than typical Scoobys. Real nice. In bayside blue too.

Sadly a lot have been destroyed or worn out I guess- like Escort Cossies...

Yup. Unique aluminium flaired wings and bonnet too on the 22B 'cos it was the wide track. The Prodrive P1 was the tame UK version! . Adjustable centre diff and seriously stupid bhp. (can't remember the exact figures on his car but it was certainly 400+ 8) .

A real giant killer of a car. :D

How about something a bit more practical like the following:

Audi RS2 Avant (or later equivalents)
Subaru Legacy B Spec wagan(estate).

Both are bullet proof reliably (if unmolested), are super fast with handling to match and you can carry a few mates and their retrobikes in comfort.

Go with an Elise mate, cheap to run and insure, I have had two, sold the last one last summer in exchange for a double pushchair.

Here was the beast.....

Likewise...and if you think they're too slow (looking at the average "literage" your going for) stick a honda / audi / duratec lump in it.

For a car your going to use so little they cost peanuts to run in comparison to most cars of similar performance.

Was that a 190 K Clunker (just going off the OZs)?
