That's quite a diplomatic way of putting things.
More honest / accurate would be to say BAC / Frazer Nash blatantly robbed the designs and technology of a highly advanced car post WWII when the BMW factory was pillaged.
Not to put a bad word against Bristol however.
As with Melvin, it has always been a huge desire for me to own a Bristol.
It is very easy to not understand what Bristol is about.
However, if you are lucky enough to understand them, not mush else even comes close.
As an aside, the reason why many may not have heard of the company is because it was policy never to use publicity, but rely instead on word-of-mouth.
