The sub-45 age group are more likely than ever to be single these days. And the greater the concentration of young people the higher the singles rate. London, for instance, has the highest concentration of young people and the highest level of single people. The question is whether the breakup of traditional social circles, such as family and local geography, for career or social aspirations has lead to this situation. One thing to note is that the sub-45 age group are also the highest users of anti-depressants so it's up in the air whether the modern free world of choice and self-determination is in fact any better than the connected close-knit old world.
Personally I think that anybody who enjoys grubby old bikes will never be lonely.
Interestingly, there are some out there who have it that all this (above described) western socio-cultural degradation that we are living though in these 'modern' times has been intentionally engineered ... something about the 'New World Order' wanting to dismantle the old culture by destroying most of it's moral codes, (divide and conquer), to then build up a new one which is subservient to all of their whims and desires.
Incidentally - to all you Euros and Brits ... the conspiracy theorists also hold that the current massive migrant influx that your lands/cultures are seeing is a part of the same plan/movement.
