AGENCY WORKERS 12 WEEKS...WE'LL SEE ! (ALL CHANGE)

agencys have done more bad for this countrys working class than any government i can say hand on my heart i HATE THESE BASTADS more than anything else in the world there scum  :x

May be good news, might be offered some part time work in a bike shop soon, leading to full time maybe. Gonna go chat about it. Also been offered to apply for lots of free courses via the volunteering I do, so hopefully some of that will work out.........still very disgusted that neither the people i worked for or the agency had the balls to tell me face to face or at all, I had to ask !!!, that's the thing that bugs me the most about this. Mild optimism ahead :)

Latest news ! I didn't get payed today ( holiday pay owed from xmas week) so i phoned up and was told, there wasn't enough money to pay everyone, but they would get back to me, i have now been told only holiday pay was not paid and only at my branch and i will be paid next weeks as a pile of requests went missing, sound fishy ? i'm not sure at this point.

Also was told, NOW the company i was farmed out to ARE going to keep workers on after 12 weeks so i should be asked to go back to work on the higher rate shortly !

I think i know why, was reading the rules about this and if it can be proved that companies repeatedly shed workers after 12 week periods they can be fined £5000 for each worker they do it to !

So better let the agency foot the wage increase like my agency offered to do (god knows they make enough to absorb it, they give thousands away to charities each year) ........still don't understand why firm i worked at opted out, it's a private contractor for the council so they wouldn't have to pay sick pay or be out of pocket by this ????

We had agency staff at the care home I work at. They were getting £4 an hour more than us, and got more hours than most of the permanent staff. Wouldnt mind if they knew what they were doing.

Hope it works out for you pal, Ive had loads of trouble with them over the last year, unpaid wages, under paid etc 3 months work leads to a 2 week job and so on. I 'think' (hope and pray) Ive just got onto the construction side of the rail network pending drug testing (now mandatory across the board) and passing the P.T.S 2 day course. Hope your situ sorts its self out.
