Failing that, DO NOT fall out with him. Become his best friend while you're slowly getting back at him so he doesn't suspect it's you. Chat to him over the fence and have a joke with him if you can. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

for what its worth my suggestion would be to go speak to him.
tell him what has happened, that you are certain it was him, or done on his suggestion and what is he going to do about it. then contact polica and council.

i am english but with an irish mother and a french/welsh heretige on my father's side.
i do have a sense of humour (i am fat, ugly and poor so it is my only redeeming feature) but this is a thread about revenge on what is supposed to be a friendly forum.
it is not always clear how serious posters are (hence asking if he was serious) but its definately a good idea posting suggestions like that on here.

k him up. No joking here. Whatever you do make it count. Plenty of suggestions here are good ones. Try a can of juice with a hole pierced in the bottom and covered with a bit of chewing gum. Fill it with brake fluid, sit it on his car roof and then knock off the chewing gum and walk away.
I'd also personally shit on his property somewhere. Maybe even on the roof of his second car if you haven't tanned that with brake fluid as well. Try pissing on his flower beds over a period of time. When my dog did it to our bushes that certainly killed them after a while.

If that is how he operates then he deserves to be taught a lesson. He is being a bully and I cannot stand bullies. He wanted you to remove your tree and you didn't so he took unlawful steps to attempt to get his own way. I hate bullies. I really really hate bullies so I think he should be afforded the same courtesy he has shown you.
