That's damn clean and we need to find when Dave is let loose for the day so he can watch it add 6lb to it weight in a good mud fest

Weight the Altitude today and it's 24.6lb give or take a q/r so it needs to go on a diet I think. I know mine has the weight disadvantage of a large frame*, but hey can't be having it!

Is that 24.4lb with my UN52 I gave you in or a lighter UN54 as in your spec ?
If it's mine then you can knock of a good ~.13 lb fitting un54 or ~.22lb going to the lighter steel one , Ti one's would be ~.33lb saving

The XT wheels on yet ?

*something like half a pound between a large and small frame iirc
The pics show it in as clean a condition as it'll ever be

Can you get weight weenie mud for the next ride please, possibly something that doesn't clash with braking efficiency would be nice too ;)

Haha, my bike's lighter than your bike ner ner na ner ner :P

That's with a box fresh UN54, so you can have your BB back next time we're on a ride together.

The spec list is as the bike is now, so I could lighten it up more ;)

XT wheels are en route, not sure when they will arrive though.

Proper job there Andy, looks fantastic.

Are you riding it tomorrow?
Cheers, yup shakedown round the block tonight & it's 1st public outing tomorrow at Thetford.

Good job it's finished, the Clockwork isn't ridable, it's still covered in cack

Wow is all I can say, well apart from Dave you're not getting it back soon ;)

Lovely bike to ride, responsive, nimble, agile, shrugs off airtime & is still quite comfortable

1st ever ride was at the National Series round 2 at Thetford today, the bike's performance was superb not a single mechanical issue with any of the newly fitted parts, not bad for a bike that wasn't completed until Wednesday last week & hadn't turned a wheel until today (I didn't give it that spin round the block!)

I never felt that it was out of it's depth & it just flows so well on singletrack, the acceleration is instant, you put the power down & it just goes off like a scolded rat

Only thing I want to change is the stem length, I need a shorter one as even with the saddle all the way forward on the rails I was sat mostly on the nose of the saddle for 23 miles

The tyres are brilliant for loose damp/dry mud and not once did they lose grip under power or cornering, highly recommended bit of kit :D

Really pleased you are happy with the ride, stem pending.

I felt the stem was a little long but could never find a shorter zoom. I did have my 9 degree bars though which went some way to compensate.

Just had the correct skewers turn up for the bike :)

Only a few small parts needed now, see my parts wanted list, link in sig below ;)

looks sweet bud,the stem looks mahoooosive lol,it should ride loads better with an 110,looks ace with the polished parts :D

8) Cheers Longy. I do rather like it too :D

Yeah the stem is mahooooosive! A shorter stem will be en route soon, I'm in negotiations at the mo to source one ;)

Might polish up the fork crown and paint the legs as I think polished cranks, brakes and fork crown will be enough to keep on top of!

I was thinking of going with a silver paint job, rather than the original gold colour, not sure though :?

Need to get fork decals from Gil too, as the last one kinda blew off whilst on the roof bars. I think I might clear coat over the top of the new ones

Quick update...

Rubber XT M095 brake covers: arrived, but not fitted yet

XT Skewers fitted, just need to pop down to the local hardware shop for new O rings for them

Decals for the fork: ordered

XT M730/M732 wheelset: en route

A shorter OE Zoom stem and OE Zoom 130 bars will be in the post soon

I'd better get those forks sorted out, they're going to really let the bike down if I don't!
