👋 New here: GT LTS 1996. Advice welcome!

That's really interesting, as the RTS serial in the other format I have is 00293 which suggests they made the very first ones with Zaskar format serials and switched quite quickly.

Thank you!

Yes I’d agree with that. Was that one you have the first generation of RTS with the steel rear end , roller brake thingy and original cable routing?

What grips are people using? I was thinking some Oury ones paired with a different coloured flite to bring some more colour, but open to a re-issue grip or the likes?

Really nice bike and it sounds pretty well going down those stairs.

For crank bolts I would use some self extracting ones as they look nice and are super practical.

When it comes to grips I really like the ODI Attacks both in look and feel.

What tyres are those?

Thank you for the suggestions! And thanks, I’m happy with the changes and I think it’s getting close to being where I’ll be completely happy 😃 main thing is it’s being ridden!

The tyres are these:

To be honest they belong on a gravel/touring bike but given I only use the bike in London they suit really well. I think they look awesome. Rene Herse has a great history too which is worth checking out if you haven’t already.

They do look really cool indeed.
I just saw that you had already photographed them. Somehow I missed that.
In my opinion, tyres should belong wherever you want them.
If you need a full-sus-city-ripper, then go for it!
Bikes are meant to be ridde.
For me, they don't have enough knobs, but they look cool!
