The "I'm not doing so well" thread

Covid….
Thought I’d got away with it tbh.

Current strain hit me 8 weeks ago.

Strained my left lung apparently!

Can’t breath half the time.

Not ridden in 8 weeks and tbh I really hadn’t thought that fact would make much difference. But I’m feeling proper low.

Saddle repair therapy is keeping me sane.

Take care out there guys, this crap isn’t over.

Could be worse.

Don't push yourself to recover. It doesn't work. Be patient.

I'm only just getting back to normal after 12 months.

College is making redundancies and reviewing all staff, areas and expenditures....... not a pleasant time and unfortunately I'll be moving some of the collection on. Become quite antisocial outside of working bar a few close friends. Winter doesnt help, spending more than I'd like on living trying not to dig a hole I'll struggle to escape. I know it's not just me and am grateful for everything I've worked for up to now.

I dont know, meds are helping, riding is helpful and the comfort of hiding away at times helps the anxiety.

Summer and some stability cant come quick enough. But even though its shit here I appreciate it could be much much worse

One love xx

Chris

CAM boot and crutches. Ruptured Achilles tendon suspected. And it's prime riding season. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️
That's upsetting - really sorry to hear this. I have a friend who missed a season because of the same but has come back strong and active. He maxed the recommended physio at each stage, which was really important. I have been terrible at following physio regimes after injury and he showed me the benefit of being disciplined. Keeps you head together, too. I have missed out on one summer cycling season and a separate winter season - both frustrating but now behind me thank goodness. Very best wishes for a fast recovery.

Thank you. I was out of cycling action last November through to mid-January due to injury too. I'll be following medical advice carefully: this injury malarkey ain't fun.
