Akaso V50X is definitely a great budget camera but it is not a proper 4k action camera, being limited at 30fps in 4K. The stabilisation is okay, and if only light offroad should be just fine for you. Here it is in action on light offroad terrain

Still would prefer a GoPro Hero 7 if you find a bargain used, stabilisation and quality is superior

Doubt you'll get a better all round device with your limiged budget, unless youre prepared to risk used items.

lmlach, I decided to go for the Akaso V50x. I didn't want to pay a lot for a better second hand camera.
I won't be doing anything crazy on my bike and unlikely to be putting any videos on the internet
Second hand one Might have had lots of use and have worn out batteries etc
I think for the money that the image stabilisation is ok
Another reason is the drive mode so I can use it in the car. My old nextbase that I've had to ages has decided to keep coming up with card error message regardless of what card it has inserted
