F.Aprile cycles? Anyone know anything about them?

Pedal deep puddle

Retro Newbie
1000009503.jpg does anyone know anything about F.Aprile cycles from Marseille?
I'm told the bike was a tour de France bike from around 1905/10 I would love to find out more info, I can't find any reference to them anywhere..
The bike looks just like this one Lucien petit-Breton is sat on, it has the same bars and crank too..

If anyone knows anything about them or could point me towards any info I'd be really appreciative!
Thank you

I like @chickendrumsticks - he gives me a nice reason to find my glasses and open another bottle of wine. What a thoughtful Gentleman ;)

By no means I'm an expert, and brace yourself @Pedal deep puddle that it will be difficult to find information.

This is what I got from the premium French site for these things from tontonvelo - 3 hits:

This perked my interest, and I recognise this period a bit better:

Looks like one of the custom high end constructers who survived into the 1950s.

Coilin at https://onlinebicyclemuseum.co.uk/tour/info/ may be worth talking to.

Eitherway, more pictures and post them here for us to look at. For the moment, it looks in great condition and interesting. I've certainly said it before, sometimes you just have to accept holding something in your hand and cherishing what it is in your hand. I feel this could be one of those bikes. It wouldn't have been banged out in masses, but sadly picking up the information trail from these small specialist local builders is very difficult.
