Retro Newbie
hello people,
i've got a san andreas mountain cycle which i am trying to build up. the swing arm is a new (old stock) replacement from america and the front end and seat tower from a guy here in the uk. It is the last version of the frame, made by Kinesis, 2003ish? with removable shock mounts.
i need some help in finding out which bearings to use for the main swing arm. and also where i can get some washers made that go between the swing arm and the main body. my swing does not have a pinch bolt, unlike most of the frames i've seen on the internet, so i think i need press fit bearings. any san andreas owners know the code on their main pivot bearings? niche question, i know....
i 'll post some pictures up on a new build thread soon.
it promises to be an interesting build, i am using a short 165mm shock with offset bushings to get the bb height as low as possible, and considering a slackset too. trying to bring it back the present day, wanna be down with the kids. planning it as a play bike with 140mm front / 120mm rear, sub 13" bb and as slack as possible head angle (67 degrees?). dunno....
many thanks....
