Are there extra bloody mindedned / stupidity points awarded for riding fixed ?

Riding fixed would be extremely foolhardy but would I guess get some "crazy idiot" head shakes and fleeting credibility.

I'm going to have to pike this ride. I'm off next week with the family and wouldn't be back until late Friday. My daughter is sneezing viruses at anyone in range and I just can't see me doing the ride in one weeks time.

Have a good time.

Ohhhh Mark....your laconic wit and death rattle will be missed at the top of the ascents :)

I am praying for a miracle on the scale of Lazarus to get me to Hereford:) Seeing as i cant climb any stairs at the moment without the use of an inhaler, the rolling hills of Herefordshire seem very distant :( On the plus side i have a suitable bicycle which benefits from...

12 gears!
Brake calipers which dont eat the pads!
Rims which dont weigh as much as Daves bike!
2 bottle cages!
A total weight of 11 ish kg!

So you wont have to suffer the embarrasment of being beaten to the top by a codger on fixed :)

I really hope to see you there..

Karl
