GT RTS Team, I hope…!

How excited am I to have the opportunity to bring some love back to this…..I’m assuming and hoping it IS a Team……tube tube gusset + flat cover at rear of top tube + alloy rear end + serial no (0693#### 16)….can anyone confirm this?

It's difficult to say for sure as the rts-1 and team shared the same frame. It has all the right signs to be either, flat cap, piggy back shock, serial for a 16 inch June 93 bike.

My team is a 93 too, I've had many other RTS frames and have another to build, but I've had it converted to disc only rear for a bit of fun (have the og rear just in case).

What are your plans for it? Polish, redecal and period or something else?

Mine is a retro mod, I've built it up in various guides, currently m952 with avid ultimates, spin wheels, 32mm Sid world cups and some retro controltech finishing kit. I love it, won't sell.

If you need any help or advice, I've rebuilt many bolt by bolt so know my way around them.

Check the rear pivots and BB welds for cracks, if all's good, welcome to the RTS owners club.

Thanks @ishaw, I suspect I’ll be coming to you soon!!!
It’s from original owner and been in store (as the picture shows) for the last 20yrs.
I’m reckoning it is a genuine Team 👍🏼✨
I’ve some MAG 21 SL Ti’s (long travel) ready for it!
I’ve cast a good eye over it and can’t see any cracks, but will check again the areas you’ve mentioned.
Yes, polish and new decals back to original frame….build will be m900 and a smuttering of Syncros, etc.
first couple of Q’s……noleen shock service, where do you start? Rear brake hanger is missing, do you have any pics of what it should look like? Post polishing, lacquer or even maybe a bright nickel or chrome polish??

Someone on here I think may service noleen shocks. I did look into this and think there was a motorbike place called something like tim Gardner racing that did them.

Rear hanger should be 2 bolt. Betd used to sell them, I may have a spare.

I'd just polish and wax the frame, lacquer will peel off eventually and looks bad when it does.

If you are going to run canti brakes, does the rear end have the mount/rocker?

It seems I may have a spare rocker....

The one mounted on a rear end is possibly spare as I have a bearing and disc converted restr end destined for a build. The other is mos from when I bought my team frame no's about 20 years ago (and it has still only done a few hundred miles as it's my keeper garage queen).

Here are some pics, plus the disc and bearing conversion as it's not really been outed yet
