This is one of my 3 Trek 950's. My wife has one of the others (adjusted for her comfort with very high stem, mudguards and lights), while the other is currently under overhaul.
Found it in excellent condition for a very good price last year, this is a Trek 950 from 1991, with a splattered paint over white frame. It was all original, although the previous owner decided to drill schraeder holes to the rims, instead of the presta holes that came originally. Other than that, he/she didn't bother to ride the bike much, to my advantage.
Apart from a complete overhaul, mostly to repack the BB, I switched the shifters with some Deore top mount (the old Deore LX STIs went to a bike I later used to ride in the Indian Himalaya viewtopic.php?f=6&t=327613), and also got some unbranded brake levers I had around. Everything else is original, including tires and grips.

Me as well, I have a 95 930 Singletrack, a 96 930 Singletrack and a 98 7000zx, love the 90's Treks myself. I still ride them hard in the trails, super solid bikes with good components.

Only just noticed this afternoon - the front is radially laced and the rear has offset spokes which I don't recall having ever seen before.

Another Trek, this time a 930 from 1993. Bought it at a great price even knowing it was too big for me. After a while, I finally admitted it would never fit me, but at least managed to sell it for a nice profit. It was in amazing condition, despite the previous owner saying he had used it "a lot" in former times.

Early 90's Treks are my favorite mtbs by far, they're the only type I own in fact. I have a '94 950, and a '91 750 hybrid I built up from a frame/fork using my own components. And my wife rides a '93 930. 
I really like the feel of True Temper tubing, and the geometry Trek used at the time made for really lively rides, imo.

Those early 90's Trek 750 are one of the best deals around. Same frame as the touring model 520 but without the exclusivity price, and great bike to build an all-round bike without the investment of a LHT or similar modern touring bikes. I'm always looking for them, but not many show up and most have been heavily used to their utilitarian purpose.

Yeah I had read the same thing about 750 frames being the same geo as the 520. I'm actually thinking of converting the one I have into a drop bar bike this summer. It rides great as is, but I think it would make a killer dedicated road bike. Pretty sure I'm gonna do it.
