Should have used aerocoat.net cracking finishes and realistic prices  had all my frames go though there and they do a top job with some really cool colours :D

plus i would have kicked up a sh1t storm if i got a frame back like that thats shocking

Well it had to come out some time i suppose, that's who HAS done this job.

I think they just lost some customers.

I just posted this on the Roadbike side, in response to a different OP, but might be of interest to us all, or maybe just make us all feel a lot worse:

.... there are some very good metallics and flakes etc available. See Tiger Coatings..
They're Austrian/US, but have a UK distributor, if you can find a willing coater. It's not all black and filing cabinet beige.

I've yet to find any UK powder coaters able, or even prepared to look at, fades and masking, but it is possible;

Be amazed at Spectrum Powderworks in the States.

If only they were nearer...Might even be worth the shipping.

That's all masked and faded in powdercoat, even the logos, beautiful.

How many times have we posted about needing a good powdercoater in this country who respects and appreciates what we want. Isn't there anyone with enough skill and pride in their work to produce the goods. I'm sure we'd be willing to pay. We live in hope.

Granted the service in this instance is incredibly poor.

However, I would have taken it up with them first rather than show them up here.

IF they were not happy to remedy their mistake/error/c*ckup then yes name and shame.

I have spoken with the guys at the shop on several instances and have seem several examples of their work - none .... I repeat none have looked like this.

For those that have written them off so be it.

Can you update once you have spoken with them please?

Oh and did you collect?

The OP wasn't naming names, just someone else recommended them.
Imagine the frustration of looking at that all weekend and not being able to do anything about it 'til Monday. I think you would share...

It will be interesting to see what they do. Yes cock ups do happen, and it depends whether they are sorted properly. That frame really never should have left the powderworks. Doesn't anyone check?

They'll sort it, sometimes in all walks of life a shitter slips through the net.

It's not worth trying to kill a business over it unless they refuse to make amends.

It's not just one thing though, it's a catalogue of things wrong with this single frame. Adam missed many opportunities along the production line to rectify this one and yet was still willing to hand it over to a paying customer.

+1 for this.

What happened in the QA department? If there isn't one he's clearly employing the wrong people, he needs to employ people that take pride in their work. Someone looked at this after they'd done it and said to themselves "that's good enough to send back to the customer, I'm happy with that". Fixing it is too late, it means the problem is already out there and Aerocoat's reputation has been damaged. There is no way that dripping pile of poo should ever have left the premises.

Employ half wits who take no pride in their work and they will lose you business. Just what the piece of animated plankton has done to Aerocoat.net After seeing this piece of handywork I wouldn't trust Aerocoat to powdercoat a garden gate.
