Windy Friday Baiku

Disappointed about shortest, coldest ride of my life on Tuesday. Right today's the day. Windy but warm. Test ride the Voodoo D'Jab/Muddy Fox Titan Pro/whatever-the-hell-it-is. First impressions: very light, right size. Good start Up some hills down some hills. Mmmm, very flickable. Self-built rear wheel seems to be holding up. Feel man flu coming on... must carry on riding. Grey clouds scudd across the hill tops, feels like autumn. Down last descent, hop skip and a jump - fantastic. 5 miles on road back home grinning from ear to ear.

Best ride of my life on a bike-that-I-don't-know-what-the-hell-it-is-but-I-love-it.

Fingers crossed I'll be able to ride on Sunday, after the week I've had I've been really looking forward to it (sniff)

How does the AMP fork ride?

AMP fork is great - very light (about 2.4lbs). I've set it up quite stiff for a relative minimum of travel and of course there's minimal lateral flex so the bike flicks and tracks really nicely.

Is it just me, or is that gravestone watching you? Looks like a nice bike; today's ride was less than a mile and so windy that I had almost no control over my direction at times. Pretty scary...
