What hobbies from childhood have we kept, other than bikes?

SouthCoastRetro's post on collecting things got me thinking.

How many of us have what to many would be 'childish things' that we did when we were younger but still do now?

I'll go first:

Model aeroplanes, build about 3 a year to my wifes bafflement.
This year, Lancaster / Halifax / Stirling.
Last year, Lightning / Phantom / Spitfire.

I still collect motor racing programes. eBay makes it too easy now though. My collection goes back to the 1950's and covers the classic rallies- RAC Rally, Monte, Tulip, Liege etc etc and Sportscar racing- Le Mans, Spa, Sebring, Targa Florio etc. There are are few F1 programes too but I no longer buy them.

As an aside,, my sister in law had the most bizzare collecting hobby as a child. She used to collect scabs!! She had little tobacco tins full of them, each one carefully labled with dates and desription. She even took them into school on 'show and tell' day

I still play on trampolines and bouncy castles much to my wifes embarrasment

And tell your sister this Dr sYUCKP.s. I will drop my collection in the post to you and you can pass them on to your sister

Skateboarding

Started Skateboarding before I started riding MTBs, was probably around 11 at the time! Found a few people that are my age and into it, really loving it although my body isn't quite as resilient as it used to be!

all. Model kit making, board games, petrol RC cars, shooting.
But due to lack of space, moving home alot only keep these hobbies going through reading magazines, web sites etc. But once we have found the right area to live will take up these hobbies again. SO you could say they are all on 'hold'

Music, if that counts.

Hardcore rave, drum and base and a bit of techno.

Still have all my tape packs, a few videos from events and CD packs.

Sadly only get to listen to my CD's in the car as my wife hates it! Tapes rarely get listened to in the house either (as I dont have a tape player in the car  )

Bizarely though, my wife does like DJ Sammy - Heaven (not hardcore, but still a dance track) and we had our first dance at our wedding to it :?

I've rediscovered mountain biking
Similarly I rediscovered model railways about 2 years back.

Other than that I've always had an interest in computing and video games.
