I took off some funky decals that were over the headtube and exposed that decal of a bird .The paint job is a splatter that looks to be original.
the red streaks are some i have not removed yet.When shining in a sideways light i can make out on the top tube where there was some decals.I can barely see maybe six characters.The last one is maybe S or A or something to that manner.I will post closup pics tonight.

perhaps try rubbing some thinners on it, see if the black paint comes of

I did when i was removing the residue of the decals and the paint did not come off.

Well i took the bika apart.Here are few more pics.
I found this stamped on the rear side of the seat tube just above the bb.
I think this is a Jokota Yosemite.1990.

this is all I found with pics - later model but likely means head badge on yours probably isn't original - that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep it though. Looks like a decent steel frame, I love the pedals too.
